The product nomenclature for the Martogg Group of Companies includes the following Compliance Codes. An example of how the code appears in our product description is: PROPEX CP01 T20 UV R01 WT735

The following is a full explanation of each Compliance Code. If you have any further queiries please contact our Technical Compliance Manager.

Code Compliance Name Compliance Details
R01 Directive 2002/95/EC Effective from 1 July 2006, all products manufactured by the Martogg Group that contain 'R01' within the description do not include the following:
Lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or octabrominated diphenyl ethers (OBDE) above 0.1% (1000 ppm) and cadmium above 0.01% (100 ppm).
R02 Food Contact Status For all products manufactured by the Martogg Group that contain 'R02' within the description, the following applies:
- Pigments used in the formulation of the product comply with AP89(1) section 2.1;
- Additives used in the formulation comply with FDA 21 CFR or AS2070 or EEC 2002/72/EC;
- Base resins and polymers used in the formulation comply with FDA 21 CFR or AS2070 or EEC 2002/72/EC or JHOSPA;
- Filler reinforcement components and any other ingredients used in the formulation comply with FDA 21 CFR or AS2070 or EEC 2002/72/EC.

In Addition:
- For masterbatch grades manufactured by the Martogg Group that contain 'R02' within the description, please refer to the Technical Data Sheet for critical information regarding addition rates.

- For further information on all grades please refer to the Technical Data Sheet.

- It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that items produced are suitable for the end application. This may include migration testing on the finished article(s).

 
R03 Flame Retardant

For all products manufactured by the Martogg Group that contain 'R03' within the description, the material is a Flame Retardant grade containing bromine or chlorine components. It is important to note that each individual 'R03' grade meets a particular flammability standard and you will need to refer to the relevant Technical Data Sheet for specific details.

In Addition:
- For masterbatch grades manufactured by the Martogg Group that contain 'R03' within the description, please refer to the Technical Data Sheet for critical information regarding addition rates.

- It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the grade of material used is suitable for the end application.

- For important information on all grades please refer to the Technical Data Sheet.
R04 Flame Retardant For all flame retardant compounds that contain little or no bromine or chlorine components within the additive and/or flame retardant systems.
