Today, Martogg & Company is run by Marcus Hogg, Martin’s son, who has worked in the business for over 35 years across various roles including Technical, Manufacturing, and Sales. He and the team across all business units, particularly LCM, endeavor to drive the shape of the industry in Australia for tomorrow.
2021
Martogg LCM® introduces food contact approved marLENE® rHDPE - diverting Australian post-consumer waste from landfill, this product is manufactured using ReFresher® Technology, and is the first of it’s kind in Australia
2020
Martogg LCM commissions third Vacurema® line taking total capacity to 23,000 tonnes per annum
2019
Martogg LCM expands marPET capacity with a second Vacurema® line – taking capacity to 12,000 tonnes per annum
2018
Food Grade recycled LDPE branded marLENE® was introduced to the market.
This material was the first of it’s kind in Australia.
2016
Martogg commissioned the first Vacurema® line, to produce marPET® (rPET) in Dandenong Victoria.
2012
Martogg LCM® begins operations in Carole Park, QLD positioning the business to service the whole East Coast of Australia

Martogg LCM® expands operations to Minto in Sydney

Long term commitment to polymer recycling through the investment in, and establishment of Martogg LCM® and recyclene® was born.
1988-2005
General Polymers was established in 1994 to produce colour, additive and carbon black Masterbatches as well as specialist conductive compounds.
Shortly after PBT and High Isotactic polypropylene was added to the range
Martogg expanded sales and distribution into South East Asia in 1988
In 2005 Gentrade was created to enable the Group to compete in the commodity polymer market.
1985-1987
Martogg moved to our current 23 acre site in Dandenong. In 1987 ENCOR was established, introducing Engineering polymers to the product range. During this time the product offering also expanded into roto moulding powders and elastomers.
1975-1985
Martin begun a small enterprise recycling, re-bagging and on selling those plastic raw materials, and Martogg was formally established in 1975. Between 1975 to 1985 a number of product lines were introduced; including polypropylene and Polyethylene.
1947-1970s
Founder, Martin John Hogg, was one of two sons to Maurice Earnest Hogg a polymer Chemist who worked for Nylex Plastics after emigrating to Australia in 1947. Maurice went on to starting M. E. Hogg Plastics in 1958. Both sons worked in the family business before establishing their own plastic manufacturing companies in the 1970s.
