Martogg’s commitment to the circular economy

In recent years, we have seen a significant shift within the plastics industry with more and more businesses and brand owners committing to sustainability targets in support of the circular economy.

In 2016, we commissioned a Vacurema line to produce Food Grade rPET, branded marPET®. As interest and demand for rPET grew, we commissioned a 2nd line in 2019 and celebrated a 3rd line earlier this year taking our collective annual production capacity of Food Grade rPET (marPET®) to 23,000 tonnes.

Last month, we were very excited to launch our marLENE® Brand of Food Grade rHDPE. Produced via Refresher technology, this line will convert 5000 tonnes of post-consumer waste back into a food grade resin and further contribute to Australia’s circular economy.
